These are the general operating procedures and should be followed by any Staff, volunteers or helpers both employed by ARC Adventures and by any visiting group involved in any activity sessions and/or residentials. They should be read by all of the above and they should sign in their staff file to say they have read and understood them before they are involved in a session. These general operating procedures should be accompanied by a risk assessment for the activity and a site-specific session plan. Instructors should follow these, Deviation from these guidelines should be only if for any reason following them would be likely to endanger a participant.
