Sample timetable for Independant Teenagers Holiday camps in south wales with ARC Adventures

BOOK NOW =
£50 OFF EASTER / SUMMER
£75 FF MAY HALF TERM.
OFFER ENDS 25TH DEC.

We understand this experience is a big investment, so we’ve made it simple: £99 secures your spot. The rest can be paid at your pace, as long as it’s settled 2 weeks before camp. Once we receive your deposit and chosen dates, we’ll be in touch with the final invoice. Closer to the camp, we’ll send a consent form to collect dietary needs and medical history.

If it’s a gift, let us know at booking, and your teen can choose their week later. We can also send you a printable image for a card to get them excited. Any eligible discount will be applied to the final invoice.

HOW ?

FAQ

No! Although we run several team building games here, we believe it’s important to take young people out to real rocks, caves and mountains to show off the best of  Wales but also to learn to love and care for our natural environment!

Our bunkhouse takes up to 48 young people at one time.

We think it’s important that everyone pushes themselves whilst they’re here and our qualified instructors are very good at supporting everyone through activities that seem scary. But, absolutely no one will be forced to do anything they don’t want to; we operate under the Challenge by Choice ethos.

25% of the overall cost is a non-refundable deposit. The rest can be refunded as long as you give us 30 days’ notice.

Definitely! We’ll give you a 10% discount for every additional camper you bring. Reserve the number of teens you’d like to attend by checking our availability (above) and we’ll automatically add a 10% discount to additional campers when we invoice you the rest.

Our free city pick-ups in minibuses will have to be at specific times but if you’re arriving directly to the centre we have more flexibility. If your young person is travelling from abroad, we can organise a private car to pick them up from the airport but please be aware that this is an additional cost. We can be flexible with their arrival as we know that flights are limited.

Absolutely.

Please make sure your teen is old enough to fly on their own otherwise you’ll have to bring them to us. But everyone is welcome and our camps are a really fun way to improve your english!

We can organise a private car to pick them up from the airport if an adult isn’t accompanying them but this will be an extra cost.

We want to make everyone feel as welcome as possible and are happy to let them use whichever one they’re most comfortable with. We do have a couple of ensuits which they are welcome to use if they prefer this.

We believe our camps are beneficial for everyone, offering individuals the chance to challenge themselves in different ways. Sometimes, just being away from home is an adventure—and that’s okay. Our camps are designed to build confidence in a safe and fun environment, making them accessible to any teen ready to step out of their comfort zone, wherever that line may be.

The sample timetable above gives you a great idea of what activities we’ll be doing but we’re always thinking of new ideas!

All our activities are run by fully qualified instructors. For most sessions they will be paired up with a group leader; the instructor’s assistant, there to take a pastoral role and make sure every young person is feeling included and happy.

No one needs to bring anything to enjoy their week but we may suggest a small amount of pocket money.

We encourage young people to stay tech free and use their phones as little as possible – it’s part of the experience of learning to be away from home. We also don’t have much signal around here! But we’ll make sure they can contact you if they need to.

Definitely! We will need consent forms for every young person and here you can express if they have any specific dietary requirements. Our cook will make sure everyone is happily fed and full of energy for all the activities!

If we are on site there’s always fruit available but if you need a little something extra you can ask the cook for toast, cereal, a sandwich or left overs from the night before. Tea and coffee is also available at any time.

When you get here! We have a floor dedicated for female and a floor dedicated for male teens. Everyone will be shown their room on arrival.

Same goes with the timetable, but the one above is a good guide of what to expect.

We’ll be leaving after breakfast on the Sunday, if we’re taking you back to a city, or pick up at the centre will be by 12 so we won’t provide your teen with lunch but talk to us if it’s helpful to have a packed lunch for their onward journey.

No one gets left behind!

We have established a fund to ensure that what we provide is available to everyone. If there are young people from the same group who can’t afford to join you on your residential, we will foot the bill. Each person is assessed on a case-by-case basis but we will always try to ensure that no one gets left behind.

Still have a question?

I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to go on this trip, and nothing feels the same. I feel I’ve grown mentally and physically, and I spend more time with myself now trying to continue building myself, but it’s not the same. My journal from this week has become something super important to me, as well as my medallion. I bring it to school with me now, just in my bag. It’s given me motivation to speak more, and I think it’s going pretty well.

So yeah, I don’t have any criticism really. This was the best thing to happen to me in years.

This place is something else, if I could, I would trade in my Xbox to be able to stay here every night.
